Domino is among the most popular table games in Latin America. Even though it’s origins lay far beyond from the tropics of the Americas, the game has come to traditionally serve as a “refuge” of shared leisure where friends and family gather around a table to throw some bones (tiles). ese gatherings usually occur in backyards and plazas and give room to conversations on never stopping cycles of . terrible politics, new business ventures, and cherished memories together. Pieza draws from this context to re-create a space of free assembly where mixed opinions and political exchanges are not tailored to any particular agenda. We will be hosting and teaching domino games throughout the day and offering food, refreshments, and conversation.
